電気炉、帰還しました

年末に修理へ送り出していた
ガラス工芸用の電気炉が、無事に戻ってきました。

ぐるぐる巻きで、厳重に梱包されて。まるで長旅を終えて帰ってきた相棒のようです。

今回の修理では内部ヒーターまわりの不具合を点検・交換。(写真2枚目が修理前、3枚目が修理後です。)焼成ムラの原因になっていた部分が整い、これでまた安心してガラスフュージングの制作ができます。

電気炉（キルン）はガラス作品の仕上がりを左右する大切な存在。温度管理ひとつで、艶も、透明感も、表情も変わります。

しばらく制作が止まっていましたが、これからまた少しずつ焼成を再開します。春に向けて、新作も準備していきますね。

My kiln is back.

The electric kiln I sent out for repair at the ending of last year has finally returned.

It came back carefully wrapped, almost like a travel-worn companion returning home.

This time, the issue was related to the heating elements inside the kiln.
They were inspected and repaired to prevent uneven firing.

Photo 2 shows the inside before repair.
Photo 3 shows it after repair.

Even small changes inside a kiln can greatly affect the final result of glass fusing.
Temperature control determines the gloss, clarity, and overall expression of each piece.

Production had been paused for a while,
but now I can safely resume firing again.

I’m looking forward to creating new glass works for the coming spring.
